At McKinsey’s Digital Capability Center on the factory floor, visitors experience the transformation of a refrigerator compressor assembly line from its non-digital, lean “current state” to a higher-performing, digitally transformed “future state.” The experience also shows how digitization improves a company’s financial performance.
