Progressive Trustbuilding for Supply Chain Transparency

Accelerate the adoption of transparent supply chains by providing validated, neutral guidance to manufacturers and the industry overall along with a framework for developing trusted data sharing relationships.

Problem

Modern manufacturing supply chains are global, distributed, and include many organizations from the extraction of raw materials through end-use of finished goods. Delivering the end system or product requires that each link of the chain supplies their portion as expected and on time. However, in practice there is little visibility beyond one tier up or down the supply chain. Therefore, when there are unforeseen disruptions in the supply chain, remedial actions cannot be performed in a timely manner to minimize the impact of these risk events. This lack of visibility creates significant operational inefficiencies and has proven damaging to the industry’s ability to adapt and be resilient in the face of crises. Overall, the project will attempt to improve bottom-line performance and accelerate decision-making processes to drive topline growth for all parties up and down the supply chain.

Proposed Solution

This team will provide validated, neutral guidance to manufacturers and the industry with a framework for developing trusted data sharing relationships as well as developing a model or framework for lightweight supply chain visibility across tiers.

Impact

To define the minimal viable dataset and create a Supply Chain Trust Matrix to strengthen relationships, accelerate decisions, reduce costs, and drive topline growth across the entire supply chain.
