National Strategic Plan for Advanced Manufacturing Town Hall at Argonne National Laboratory

You are invited to the National Strategic Plan for Advanced Manufacturing Town Hall at Argonne National Laboratory on January 26 2026 from 9:00am – 11:00am. This two-hour session is designed for you to share input to the Request for Information (RFI) issued by the National Science and Technology Council, Committee on Technology, Subcommittee on Advanced Manufacturing, the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP).

Through this RFI, OSTP seeks feedback on ways to improve government coordination, and on long-term guidance for Federal programs and activities in support of United States manufacturing competitiveness. Your input will inform OSTP and NSTC as they work with Federal agencies and other stakeholders to develop the strategic plan.

Donโ€™t miss this important opportunity to help shape the future of U.S. Manufacturing!

This event will gather information from the public for the 2026โ€“2030 National Strategic Plan for Advanced Manufacturing, which guides Federal efforts to enhance the competitiveness of U.S. manufacturing. The plan is revised every four years to provide new federal priorities in advanced manufacturing research and development, aiming to create jobs, boost economic growth across various sectors, and strengthen national security.

The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy has posted the full set of questions in the Federal Register. The National Science and Technology Councilโ€™s Subcommittee on Advanced Manufacturing will manage the RFI process, with the NIST Office of Advanced Manufacturing responsible for collecting and analyzing the information. More information found in the Report on National Strategy for Advanced Manufacturing.
