The EV Hiring Guide builds off the success of MxD Learn’s original hiring guides in cybersecurity and digital manufacturing.

The mobility sector is growing and evolving, and communities are seeking guidance on critical technology adoption and how they can find workers to support the EV transition.  To respond to this shift, the Electric Vehicle Hiring Guide was developed as a critical playbook for industry, academia, government, and workers alike.

  • Outlines 170 roles critical to the future of work in electric vehicles for both the passenger/commercial and defense industries.
  • Five roles are profiled deeper, delving into skills and competencies for success on-the-job, talent personas to help find candidates, and career pathways to help understand a career trajectory and growth for various roles.

Developed in partnership with the University of Michigan Economic Growth Institute as part of the Michigan Defense Resiliency Consortium (MDRC), which is working to create valuable energy storage and battery manufacturing solutions to advance American manufacturing and support national security.
