Another Way to Go Digital: MxD’s Virtual Tour is Live

Making Industry 4.0 concepts tangible to manufacturers is a challenge and opportunity that MxD has fully embraced through its future factory in Chicago.

The nearly 12,000 visits to MxDโ€™s innovation center in 2019 led to new partnerships with organizations of all sizes and types, sparked innovative ideas on digitizing and securing factories and supply chains, and inspired next-generation leaders to consider a career in advanced manufacturing.

With the COVID-19 pandemic grinding travel to a halt and shifting the focus to virtual events, we wanted to create an experience that showcases digital manufacturing and cybersecurity technologies to our stakeholders who could not enter our physical doors.

As the nationโ€™s digital manufacturing institute and the National Center for Cybersecurity in Manufacturing, we also want to extend our reach from coast to coast and increase our accessibility to the small manufacturers that may not have the time and resources to make the trip, even under typical circumstances.

Today we are launchingย ourย virtual tourย toย broaden our audience and welcome far-flung stakeholders toย take a peekย into the exciting workย MxDย is conducting with its partners.ย

Catch up on our latest announcements as you look around the atrium. Watch a video of our assembly testbed to see how we use digital technologies to augment the capability of manufacturing workers. Stop in the MxD Learning Lab and download our Hiring Guide: Cybersecurity in Manufacturing.

Most importantly, fill out the โ€œConnect with MxDโ€ form to ask questions, become a member, or get more involved in forging the digital future of U.S. manufacturing from wherever you sit.

The doors are open, and we hope youโ€™ll join us โ€“ check back for continued updates and additions in the coming months. Enjoy your tour!
