The Honorable Kathleen S. Miller is a former Senate-confirmed executive and accomplished leader with more than two decades of experience leading large-scale logistics, information technology, and financial management organizations across the federal national security enterprise. Most recently, Miller served as Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller), where she provided executive leadership for financial management, business transformation, and enterprise modernization initiatives across one of the worldโ€™s largest and most complex organizations. Throughout her career, she directed multi-billion-dollar budgets, strengthened accountability and audit performance, advanced technology-enabled modernization efforts, and led organizations through significant change. Millerโ€™s leadership experience spans logistics, information technology, and financial management, providing a unique perspective on the intersection of operations, technology, governance, cybersecurity, and risk management. Earlier in her career, she played a key role in advancing enterprise logistics modernization initiatives, including implementation of SAP-based capabilities that improved supply chain visibility, operational effectiveness, and organizational accountability. Today, Miller is the Founder and Principal of Lakeside Advisors LLC, an advisory and executive coaching firm focused on leadership development, governance, organizational performance, and transformation. She also serves on the Advisory Board of SAP NS2, where she contributes expertise in technology, cybersecurity, and national security. Miller is a member of the National Academy of Public Administration and has been recognized with both the Distinguished Presidential Rank Award and the Meritorious Presidential Rank Award, among the highest honors awarded to career federal executives. She also serves on the Deanโ€™s Advisory Council of Cornell Universityโ€™s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
