Our Team

RJ joined MxD as a Sr. Government Engagement Associate in May 2023. In this role, RJ helps develop and manage government stakeholder relationships, including with federal, state, and local agencies and assists with the execution of day-to-day activities for MxD’s government initiatives critical to advancing the Institute’s mission.

Prior to joining MxD, RJ received his Bachelor’s degree in French and Francophone studies from Columbia University in New York City. He then spent eight years in the US Army, first in the Infantry, and later in Civil Affairs. He deployed to Iraq, Syria, and Yemen and managed multiple humanitarian assistance and security projects, working alongside US allies and local and national governments. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, kayaking, hiking, and just about any other outdoor activities.
