Interactive Digital Twins Playbook Builder

Digital Twin (DT) technology is becoming an essential part of the digital transformation that the manufacturing industry is experiencing. Additionally, the increase of computational capabilities over the past decade has made Digital Twins a possibility for a much larger audience. Yet Digital Twin technology only seems to be implemented by large manufacturers in some of their products and processes.

About the Project

MxD is releasing a Request for Proposal for the development of an interactive Digital Twin playbook builder that will produce custom playbooks based on user needs and goals. The user will be asked to fill out a survey to establish an understanding of the current “digital” status, as well as determine Digital Twin goals (product sustainment, predictive maintenance, etc.). The output will be a custom playbook that includes (but is not limited to): introduction to key concepts, status assessment, step-by-step engineering guidelines, connection to commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions, rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost estimate and bill of materials (BOM).

Through this investment, MxD seeks to accelerate Digital Twin adoption throughout the manufacturing industry.
