Marcella is the Sr. Director of the Project Management Office at MxD. In her role, Marcella is responsible for taking ownership and responsibility in leading the PMO team for executing all MxD projects including the management and accountability of project timelines, budgets, scope, and resource plans from project concept through project closeout.
With over 30 years of experience in working the entire life cycle of a product (from development to strategies), and in helping several organizations build their PMOs and critical mass; Marcella brings to MxD superior clarity and a systematic approach to achieve benefits from standardizing and following project management processes, policies, and methods.
Most recently, Marcella built and led the operational excellence and strategic initiatives unit at a small insurance company, where she introduced new processes and roles, led the team to perform process improvements for non-performing areas, and recommended and implemented strategies to improve its bottom line.
Before that, Marcella worked in several organizations, such as Walgreens, Groupon, BCBS, and Kemper, where she successfully delivered large complex enterprise-wide initiatives, coached/mentored teams, and built PMOs from the ground up with a focus on the intake process, portfolio management, change management, project management, and processes improvement.
She also spent over 16 years working for an accounting and financial software company. She lived in the Asia Pacific Rim for 5 of those years. During that time, she played a key role in establishing the Singapore office, and in overseeing the implementation of accounting and financial systems for large organizations in Thailand, Sumatra (Indonesia), and Australia.
Marcella holds an MBA from Regis University and certifications in PMP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, SAFe 6.0 Agilist, and SAFe LMP.
