About the Event

Industry 3.0 and 4.0 practices have increasingly become staples in US manufacturing, but adoption varies widely. Many small and mid-sized manufacturers (SMMs) have lagged substantially behind larger firms in digital maturity. Principal among the reasons that SMMs have not pursued industry 4.0 initiatives are lack of resources/talent to implement digital manufacturing, uncertain ROI from transformation projects, cultural challenges/reticence, and the pace of technological change.

Join MxD and share your experiences, goals, hopes, and barriers related to the adoption of digital technology in a small to mid-size manufacturing setting. What keeps you from investing in new systems and technology, and where can MxD help? This scoping session is also an opportunity to learn more about this upcoming funding opportunity which is expected to begin accepting proposals for financially supported implementations starting in May 2022.

This meeting will be offered twice, once on April 4th and again on April 13th. To register for either, please visit their respective event pages. For questions, please email projects@mxdusa.org.
